Please Help! We need funding to support these animals. My mother passed on and my siblings stole money meant for me that I would have used to support this sanctuary. All donations are tax deductible. I found an attorney who can help me, and borrowed mo
One of my board members reminded me that I do not have an euthanasia policy in place. This is something I take care of because I want to ensure that the animal leaves this earth peacefully and lovingly.
I insist that the animal is tranquilizer before given the "blue needle", and be it a horse, dog or cat, I hold the animal. Every animal spirit has thanked me for sending them home gently and with compassion.
This morning, I googled equine euthanasia practices and came up with www.aaep.org and was appalled to read that one of their approved methods was: "gunshot to the brain". I went NUTS and sent them an email to remove that method immediately. Here is a copy of the email:
I was reading your euthanasia guidelines and was appalled with the acceptable method of "gunshot to the brain". ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME??? DO YOU KNOW HOW PAINFUL THIS IS?? HOW CRUEL AND INHUMANE!
You need to delete that method. It is so painful....a sick horse needs to leave this earth in love and with kindness - I know because I rescue horses and have had to euthanize 8 of the last 30 years. And every time, their spirit has come back to thank me for my love and compassion. ANIMALS ARE MULTI-DIMENSIONAL SENTIENT BEINGS, JUST LIKE HUMANS, AND HUMANS NEED TO WAKE UP TO THAT FACT. ANIMALS ARE MORE SENTIENT THAN PEOPLE BECAUSE THEY ARE MORE INTUITIVE - THEY THINK, FEEL, ACT, REASON AND LOVE. IN FACT, ANIMALS HAVE MORE EMOTIONAL DEPTH THAN HUMANS!!!
You people supporting "gunshot to the brain" are making a BIG mistake - spiritually speaking!
You need to treat animals the way you want to be treated. Is that how you want to leave this earth? By having someone blow out your brains??? DISGUSTING!! INHUMANE !! REVOLTING!! YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED!!!
I'm proud to be an animal advocate; I love all my animals unconditionally and rescue mentally, emotionally and physically abused horses, dogs, cats - and whatever animal comes my way.
Dear Friends, please write to email@example.com and ask them to delete "gunshot to the brain" as an acceptable method of equine euthanasia.
THANK YOU SO MUCH....and every horse saved from this method thanks you!!!
No one talks about it, especially at the dinner table, yet it is an integral part of life. In fact, think about this: we start dying the minute we're born.
My sister and I are caring for our 93-year old mother who is in kidney failure. So, I explained to her what is going to happen when our mother passes. I was with my best friend when he passed and I learned a lot. Do you see the angel in the corner of the room, he said. No, I don't. No one dies alone, he said. No matter where a person is - in bed, in a car, in a hospital, on the battlefield, in a movie theater - he/she will never die alone because there is always an angel who escorts our soul/spirit to the Light/Heaven/Nirvana, whatever you choose to call it. These angels are called Angels of Deliverance - Their service to humanity is to escort us to the Light.
Our bodies are like overcoats that we take off, or shed, when it is our time to go home. Earth isn't really our home; it's a schoolroom where the learning is very intense - 10 times more intense than in the upper realms. We are spiritual beings having a human experience, and when our time on earth comes to a close, we go home to God. It should be a time of celebration and joy, but religions have kept us in fear of going to a place that does not exist - hell.
We are energy beings - we have been created from and are sustained by God's Energy. When it is time to graduate from the earthly plane, we go home to the Light-filled realms some of you call Heaven or Nirvana. And, depending upon what we have learned and how we have used our energy determines the level of Light we go to. Those who have murdered, raped, judged, condemned, chosen not to help others, etc will not go as far up as those who have been kind. It's not a judgment or a criticism, it's just how it is.
When someone mentions hell, I respond with: You have children, don't you? When your children are bad, would you consider throwing them into a fire pit? The answer is always NO! Why would God, our Creator, condemn us to a fire pit? It does not make any sense, especially when the Godhead is all loving and kind. Some religions have really done a number on people - and it's not a good thing. The bottom line is that we have to love God enough to want to use our energy to help people, animals and the earth.
When my father-in-law passed on, I heard him screaming and crying "I don't want to go to hell". Tom, I said, there is no such place as hell. Look by your side, there is an angel there who wants to take you home to God. He was sobbing. Please calm down. Do you see the angel? The angel is God's Helper who wants to take you home. He went home, and a couple of years later, when his son and I were divorcing, I heard from Tom - he apologized for his son's behavior and said that he couldn't have had a nicer daughter-in-law.
We all will be losing loved ones, be they human or animal. Know that you will see them all again some day. If you have a vivid dream of being with someone or an animal that has passed on, know that you were with that person or animal because our soul/spirit oftentimes leaves our body while we sleep. If, when upon awakening, you feel as though you are falling down stairs, don't be alarmed: your spirit/soul is re-entering your body.
Death is nothing to fear. I made a promise to learn what I set out to learn; and to serve God by helping people, animals and the environment. I'm a slow learner .....I've been told that I have a lot of work to do.....I'm not going home any time soon.
Love and Light!
The movie left me very saddened to think that the catholic church perpetuated crimes against innocent children. I knew about the molestations, but not the extent of them and the corruption that went along with covering up the 1500 incidents in the Boston area alone. I was appalled to learn that these crimes against children happened all over the world, especially when the pedophile priests were sent to other locations. Shame on Cardinal Law and the catholic church.
As a youngster, my mother introduced me to Catholicism and I rebelled every step of the way - I was nine at the time. I just didn't get a good feeling about the church's teachings.
We don't need to go to church to love God - we show God our love every day that we're kind. Just be kind to people, animals and the environment. That's all we need to do.
The following quote is from www.matthewbooks.com - March 20, 2016 message:
Your pets are multidimensional souls just as people are. Most of humankind don’t know this about themselves, much less about animals; animals do know, and they know there is no such thing as death. They remember their visits in Nirvana/Heaven/The Light during sleep state and how young, healthy and active they are there. If your pets could tell you what they want, it would be to go there and stay rather than enduring pain and debilitation. When your pets’ quality of life has diminished to that state, please know that they are thankful when you make the heart-wrenching decision to mercifully end their suffering. When your time to transition comes, the energy of the love bond between you and your pets will reunite you.
So, dear friends, when we pass on, our animal friends will be there to greet us, just like they do when we arrive home from work or school.....
I need to pass on this info to Judge Judy, especially when she exclaims "they just animals!"
I believe in reincarnation - it's the only thing that makes sense to me. And, all the great Avatars, or way-showers believed in it too, so I'm in good company.
Into each lifetime, we bring with us some of our likes and dislikes; some memories, be they pleasant or not so pleasant; and some of our fears. These remembrances of our past life experiences influence and impact the present lifetime, especially the fears. Sometimes, our reactions to people, animals, places, and things can spring from past life memories. Having a familiar feeling about a person or place is called a deja-vu experience; and having a memory of a person, animal, place or thing is called a bleed-through from a past lifetime.
When I was very young, I knew I lived in a castle, and I could see it, but I didn't know how to get there. It was very disturbing for me living where I was living and feeling as though I had been misplaced. Later in this lifetime, I found out that I did live in a castle in France in another lifetime.
When I was 13 years old, I was tall and very thin; so thin that my bones stuck out, but when I looked into a mirror, I saw a black-haired grossly overweight woman with long black hair on her arms and legs. After that experience, I avoided looking into mirrors. It was much later in life that I learned about a past lifetime when my mother died having me and my father blamed me for my mother's death. He was very cruel to me - I couldn't do anything right and I ate everything in site. I died at an early age. It was not a happy lifetime for me. I often wonder if girls who are anorexic in this lifetime where over-weight in a past lifetime......
When I was in my 50's I was hiking up a trail, and when I got to the top of the mountain, I became sick to my stomach. I felt something bad was going to happen to me - my neck started throbbing, so I went down the trail as quickly as I could. The feeling subsided when I was half way down. I called a friend who reads past lives and asked her about the experience. In a past lifetime, I fell off a cliff and broke my neck. Well, that made sense to me.
When I met my husband-to-be, I had very mixed feelings - part of me was weary of him. But, I watched his behavior - he was always jovial and very kind to me. So, after four months, I agreed to marry him, but still I had reservations. The reservations I had came from my soul because it is our soul that houses or carries with it all the memories of our past lifetimes. And, it is our soul that knows our Divine Plan, the one we agreed to before we incarnated. We all have a Divine Plan that includes paying back our karmic debts (and how did we incur those karmic debts? Well, from past lifetimes!); overcoming our fears; learning to be unconditional loving; and serving God. I keep going back and forth - emotionally I was a wreck, but at another level, I knew this was something I had to do. For the record, it was a very karmic relationship, and I knew at the soul level, it was going to be difficult, at best. But, this was all included in my Divine Plan.
When I met my new brother-in-law, I didn't get a good feeling about him, and immediately, my right shoulder blade started throbbing - it was very painful. My reaction to him seemed unreasonable until I learned that in a past lifetime, I was a Roman politician on the straight and narrow, and he had me murdered - someone threw a knife into my back.
Whenever you meet someone and have a nice feeling about the person, more than likely, in a past lifetime, you had a nice relationship with that person. But, if you meet someone and have an adverse reaction to that person, you probably didn't have such a good time with that person.
Mankind operates on two levels - a conscious or ego level and an inner-conscious or soul level. Our soul wants to be the director of our life because it knows what we're supposed to be doing and where we're supposed to be going because it has been programmed with the details of our Divine Plan. If we listen to our intuition, which is the voice of our soul, we'll be okay, but things will get ugly when our ego is in control. Sometimes life can be a battle of wills - whose will is going to prevail? our ego's, or God's Will? God's Will is Beauty, Peace, Love, Harmony, Kindness, Compassion and Oneness, so this being said, anything that adds to your Light and to the Light of the World, is God's Will.
To be continued........
Last night, I listened to a story on Inside Edition about horses dying at Black Fence Farm due to the contamination of grain - the horses were being poisoned. I called Inside Edition and emailed the farm to tell them about Activated Charcoal, which absorbs poison and toxins.
I always have Activated Charcoal on hand for myself and for my animals. You can purchase it at any health food store or at vitacost.com.
Here is some information on AC:
Activated Charcoal powder is used medicinally as well as in air purifiers and water purifiers. Its recorded use dates back to 1550 BC and in modern times is most widely used medicinally as a detoxifier and poison antidote. I always keep it on hand for spider bites, accidental ingestion of toxins or stomach bugs.
Activated charcoal is well known as a antidote as it adsorbs most organic toxins, chemicals and poisons before they can harm the body. Some Emergency Rooms administer large doses of activated charcoal for certain types of poisoning.
•Activated charcoal is estimated to reduce absorption of poisonous substances up to 60%.
•It works by adsorbing chemicals, thus reducing their toxicity (poisonous nature), through the entire length of the stomach and small and large intestines (GI tract).
•Activated charcoal itself is a fine, black powder that is odorless, tasteless, and nontoxic.
Don't be alarmed after taking Activated Charcoal if you notice your poop is black - that's okay!
Last night, I read a comment about Activated Charcoal from a woman who brushes her teeth with it. Well, I just had to try it! My entire mouth was black and after about 10 minutes of trying to clean my mouth, I noticed that my teeth were indeed whiter and generally I brush my teeth with pure peroxide.
When my horse has gas, he will stomp his right hind foot on the ground repeatedly. He's telling me that he has a gas bubble. Since my boy weighs close to 2000 pounds, I dissolve about 10 capsules in a 60 cc syringe with mineral oil, and before long, he's is farting away.
Seriously folks, if you own animals, it's a GREAT product to have on hand.
Let's send Light to the horses.
There are three kingdoms that use earth as a schoolroom on which to spiritually evolve. They are the Human, Animal and Elemental/Nature Kingdoms.
I want to share with you what was written about animals in the 40's and 50's by a very spiritual organization later called the "Bridge to Spiritual Freedom".
We all know about the human kingdom and how some of its members treat, or rather mistreat and abuse animals, so I hope the following helps to clear up some misconceptions about the animal kingdom.
The following information is taken - word for word - from the Bridge to Freedom's Lesson Number III - Other Evolutions.
22. The Animal Kingdom
"The Animal Kingdom is comprised of all those elemental beings with a horizontal spines and have evolved long under the yoke of human oppression.
For each species of Animal, there is what is known as a "group soul", a Divine Devic Being Who watches over them, preserves their constructive instincts, and at the close of their earthly sojourn, receives each one lovingly into their specially prepared "Heaven Realm". All the services that have benefitted mankind add to the glory of the entire species, and even as in the case of mankind, when one Animal is "lifted up" by love, understanding, compassion and intelligent kindness, the entire species is lifted into a higher consciousness.
Viciousness in Animals is the result of mankind's mistreatment of them, NOT the result of the true nature of this Kingdom. Mystics, occultists and clairvoyants describe with pleasure the glowing pink aura of the contented purring cat.
Let go of the concept that Animals live to prey upon man. Rather, learn that it is for man, the offender, to PRAY for forgiveness for his mis-use of these patient beasts of the field, and thus lift them up. This is a constructive activity and truly one in which all who love life should cooperate."
More channeled information about animals later.........
I don't talk to my animals in commands or single words. I hold conversations with them and they understand every word I say. My horse, Hal, is indeed cherished and he knows and feels the love I have for him. All I have to do is explain what I'm going to do, visualize it and he accepts everything. For example, I wanted to fit him for a bridle with a rubber snaffle. I explained what I was doing and how the bit went into his mouth. As I was putting on the bridle, I asked him to open his mouth and he did. No kidding! He opened his mouth. When I got Hal at 8 months old, I made a promise to him that I would never hurt him and that he was safe with me. We have a very strong bond.
This fall, I was shaking apples from the tree and Hal was watching me. I picked up an apple and threw it in his direction. The apple landed in back of him. I looked at him and said turn around and he did. Now, look down to your right - and he did! He found his apple.
My house has been taken over by the rescues. The horses live in my walkout basement. There's plenty of light and it's very comfortable for them especially in the winter. Hal has figured out that when he wants my company all he has to do is pound on the stall petition and I come running! Yes, he has me trained like Pavlov's dogs. My point is that he had to think about getting my attention and his plan worked!
The rescued dogs and cats lives upstairs with me. I have 3 of my own dogs and 3 rescues. Whenever I think about doing some errands, there are three dogs at the door ready and willing to go with me. How do they know? Because animals are intuitive - they read our thoughts and feelings.
The dogs know when I'm upset and will go into hiding, especially when unknowingly I step in a pee puddle. I blurt out: who peed on the floor? And, the one who did disappears.
Gabby Guy is a little fellow who was born with a big hole in his soft palate. I promised his owner that if she tube fed him, I would find a surgeon who could fix his mouth. Gabby was a week old when I met him and he and his owner came with me to my vet's office. My vet was unable to do the surgery, so weeks later I found someone who could, and at 9 weeks of age, the surgeon sewed up the hole in Gabby's soft palate. Two hours after the surgery, Gabby was on his way to his new home with me. From the day I met this little guy, I sent him loving thoughts telling him that he would make it through surgery and have a wonderful life with me. He is very attached to me - so much so that he gets mad when I go outside, and even though he can see me, he leaves a puddle on the floor. The little guy gets pissed off!
Whenever you're feeling blue, doesn't your dog or cat want to sit next to you and make it all better? They want to comfort you. How do they know this? They can read our thoughts and they know what we are feeling. We animal lovers need to educate people about animals and just how sensitive they are.
Some animals serve mankind by absorbing our negativity, which is one reason dogs don't live as long as they should. Dogs are our constant companions, and when we're feeling down, they lift up our spirits.
People need to be educated about animals and how they think, remember, feel, act, reason and love; and how they can experience a wide range of emotions just like humans. We humans are not supposed to dominate animals - we are supposed to live in harmony, co-operation, unity and love with them.
Ever since I can remember, I have been in love with animals. And, at an early age, I felt that animals understood every word I said. I was 13 when I had evidence that animals understood my language. I had a horse called Jay. I rode him to my parents' home and my sister, Carol, demanded that she ride him. Now, Jay and I had an agreement that no one else was allowed on his back, so I looked at him and said: "when she gets on you, rear up and she'll slide off". Well, Carol got on Jay who reared up and she slide off almost hanging herself on the clothes line. Probably, it wasn't a nice thing for me to do, but it made me realize that animals understood what I said to them.
More validation came later in life because my new boyfriend didn't believe that animals can read our thoughts. It wasn't until much later in life, after reading "Behaving As If The God In All Life Mattered" that I religiously practiced communicating with animals. We are all given gifts and it's a shame not to use them.
So, before a new animal arrives, I visualize the animal and send it loving thoughts. Energy has intelligence and it knows where to go which is why we shouldn't think negatively of anyone because when we do that energy will be delivered to the recipient of our thoughts and feelings. When I rescued Coltan from Indiana, I sent him loving thoughts and told him exactly what was going to happen - that the vet would come, that someone would trailer him to his new home, and that he would be loved and cherished. I always make a promise to animals that I will never hurt them; that they are safe with me and have a forever home with me. I understood about Coltan's circumstances: his owner was the love of his life since he was 6 months old and she passed on from cancer. He felt abandoned, alone and depressed. Because I sent loving thoughts to him, he picked them up and when he arrived at my house and got off the trailer, nuzzled me just like he was meeting an old friend. So, side-by-side we made the 2000 foot climb to his new home. I did the same for all the horses I rescued.
Now, on a more serious note: Animals are sentient beings - they are not dumb! Just like humans, animals have a mental body or a mind; they have an emotional or feeling body; a physical body and a spirit/soul body just like humans. The difference between animals and humans is that animals are more intuitive than most humans.
When humans transition, or leave this earth, they live in their spirit body, which is similar in shape to their physical body but without the density. And, when animals transition, they live in their spirit bodies. Whenever I see a dead animal on the side of the road, I always say a little prayer to it because sometimes its spirit hovers over its lifeless body wanting to return, but it can't. So, I say: "return your energy to God with Love" and I always ask the angels to assist this little spirit.
Okay, so animals like humans can think and reason because they have been known to save human lives and one has to be able to think about how to go about it. I don't believe animals act from instinct. It might just be semantics, but animals are intuitive and act from their intuition. They see the energy field (aura) around humans and can tell just how a person is thinking and feeling by reading our aura, so this is one reason I feel animals are intuitive. Also, they can read our thoughts and feelings, which goes beyond instinct. We can't believe what people say and animals know this - a person may say one thing, but the animal is picking up what the person is really thinking and/or feeling. I had a dog who was a "vibe tester". Whenever someone who had bad intentions approached me, he would get in between us and nip at this person. I learned to follow my dog's lead.
And, animals like humans have a wide range of emotions too. In the past, I rescued abused show horses and some of them were very angry about how they were mistreated. I learned that sometimes you can have a horse for a year until it feels safe enough to act out how it was treated in the past. This is what is happening to a little mare I rescued. She is angry about how she was treated and sad that she was ripped away from her mother.
Years ago, I rescued a horse whose owner's philosophy was: "if one whip doesn't work, I'll find one that does". This mare was angry for 5 years before she settled down. She lived with me for 15 years and knew without a doubt that she was loved. I never asked anything of her - I let her be free to develop her personality and that she did. She had a stall without a door and she would visit the other four horses and eat hay with them. She was the matriarch of the barn and enjoyed her position to the fullest. She was the first one to go out and the first one to come in.....also the first one to get fed! A couple of months after she left us, I was upstairs and heard a horse walking up and down the aisle. I knew all the horses were in their stalls. I knew it was Trudy who came back to visit her buddies, so to validate this I called a friend who is an intuitive and told her that I had a visitor - that's all I said. She said that Trudy came back to visit us. Animals, like humans, will come back to visit those who loved them because Love - unconditional love - is a bond that binds us forever to those animals and humans we love.
More about animals' intuitive nature later....
