When I got married, I had stars in my eyes. I was very committed to making my marriage a happy one, but soon discovered that if someone isn't happy on the inside, then nothing you do on the outside can change that. Happiness is an inner journey; it's a knowingness that you are a unique child of God who has come to earth to learn specific lessons and not to be defined as deficient, stupid or ignorant by them.
Abuse is just plain wrong - there is no justification for it. Meanness is abuse. Do not settle. Do not compromise. Do not make excuses. Get help, especially you women in an abusive relationships. You wouldn't want your children to end up in an abusive relationship because you stayed in one. We all need help and that is why we are here on earth - to help one another.
Remember this: where there is abuse, there can never be love, peace and harmony.
