No one talks about it, especially at the dinner table, yet it is an integral part of life. In fact, think about this: we start dying the minute we're born.
My sister and I are caring for our 93-year old mother who is in kidney failure. So, I explained to her what is going to happen when our mother passes. I was with my best friend when he passed and I learned a lot. Do you see the angel in the corner of the room, he said. No, I don't. No one dies alone, he said. No matter where a person is - in bed, in a car, in a hospital, on the battlefield, in a movie theater - he/she will never die alone because there is always an angel who escorts our soul/spirit to the Light/Heaven/Nirvana, whatever you choose to call it. These angels are called Angels of Deliverance - Their service to humanity is to escort us to the Light.
Our bodies are like overcoats that we take off, or shed, when it is our time to go home. Earth isn't really our home; it's a schoolroom where the learning is very intense - 10 times more intense than in the upper realms. We are spiritual beings having a human experience, and when our time on earth comes to a close, we go home to God. It should be a time of celebration and joy, but religions have kept us in fear of going to a place that does not exist - hell.
We are energy beings - we have been created from and are sustained by God's Energy. When it is time to graduate from the earthly plane, we go home to the Light-filled realms some of you call Heaven or Nirvana. And, depending upon what we have learned and how we have used our energy determines the level of Light we go to. Those who have murdered, raped, judged, condemned, chosen not to help others, etc will not go as far up as those who have been kind. It's not a judgment or a criticism, it's just how it is.
When someone mentions hell, I respond with: You have children, don't you? When your children are bad, would you consider throwing them into a fire pit? The answer is always NO! Why would God, our Creator, condemn us to a fire pit? It does not make any sense, especially when the Godhead is all loving and kind. Some religions have really done a number on people - and it's not a good thing. The bottom line is that we have to love God enough to want to use our energy to help people, animals and the earth.
When my father-in-law passed on, I heard him screaming and crying "I don't want to go to hell". Tom, I said, there is no such place as hell. Look by your side, there is an angel there who wants to take you home to God. He was sobbing. Please calm down. Do you see the angel? The angel is God's Helper who wants to take you home. He went home, and a couple of years later, when his son and I were divorcing, I heard from Tom - he apologized for his son's behavior and said that he couldn't have had a nicer daughter-in-law.
We all will be losing loved ones, be they human or animal. Know that you will see them all again some day. If you have a vivid dream of being with someone or an animal that has passed on, know that you were with that person or animal because our soul/spirit oftentimes leaves our body while we sleep. If, when upon awakening, you feel as though you are falling down stairs, don't be alarmed: your spirit/soul is re-entering your body.
Death is nothing to fear. I made a promise to learn what I set out to learn; and to serve God by helping people, animals and the environment. I'm a slow learner .....I've been told that I have a lot of work to do.....I'm not going home any time soon.
Love and Light!
